Abstract

As the fourth season and eighth issue of the large-scale cultural and museum exploration program "National Treasure" of the Central Radio and Television Station, "Striped painted pottery boots · Legend of the past" leds the audience into the Qinghai Provincial Museum Plate, and took the striped painted pottery boots of Xindian culture as the starting point, it tells a story about the Qiang ancestors developing shoes for the great migration. This paper focuses on the costumes of the Qiang ancestors in Qinghai from 1400 BC to 700 BC. In view of the research dilemma posed by the lack of physical remains in this period, this paper expands the geographical and historical scope to improve the field and background of the times. Through unearthed objects and related documents corresponding to painted pottery patterns and other image remains, which add more information about the ancestors of Qinghai. Therefore, we can conduct a concrete analysis and textual research on the clothing shapes, fabrics, colors, and patterns at that time, and outline the characteristics and features of the costumes of the late Neolithic period. It also provides a reference for the design of character costume images in the subsequent period, and helps in the contemporary dissemination and inheritance of costume culture.
